Can someone help me? I don't know what I am doing.

I'll be honest before I go any further: I do not know how to mix music, I do not know music theory, and I do not know how to play music.

I am making a visual novel with limited resources and since I do not have the money to recruit artists or music makers, I tried making music by myself.

and it's awful.

I used FL Studios with the Nexus Grandpiano, and messed with the settings. I didn't have good speakers at the time, so it sounds very suppressed and not how I wanted it to sound like. The song is meant to be played as the main menu theme [possibly the main theme itself?]

Here it is. I really want someone to either help me make this sound better or someone recreating it with the leitmotif from the beginning.
