[QUESTION] Best Semi / Hollow-body guitars for under $700?

i am looking to buy an electric that is better than my second hand squier affinity strat (which suprisingly is pretty good for $35) and would like to get opinions. i will be gigging with this guitar every week or so and it needs to be pretty versatile. I was looking at the squier tele thinlines but someone said the fact that its semi hollow doesnt really change the sound of it. so yea, any thoughts / recommendations? all money is in usd
