So I installed my 750W PSU yesterday and didn't have any issues at first. But I got home today and I'm having all sorts of issues. Firstly, my computer took an extremely long time to boot off the SSD, and once it booted the screen kept flickering from black to the loaded windows desktop. The monitor stayed powered on so I was really confused and figured it was a GPU issue.

I unplugged the HDMI from the GPU and simply used my VGA to DVI monitor and everything works fine when I just use the VGA to DVI monitor.

I updated the GPU drivers and it still had issues on start up so I just plugged in the HDMI monitor after it was loaded, set up the monitor and it worked fine. However, it eventually stopped working and I couldn't access the windows menu or right click on the desktop or anything. The only thing I could actually click on was my Advanced SystemCare 9 memory/temp monitor. I was able to scan and even open IOBit Malware and do scans and stuff but I couldn't do anything past that.

That's when I restarted my system and again had the same issues. I figured it was possibly a mobo issue (currently from 2012) so I went to update it and the intel auto-updater didn't pick up drives. Weird.

I went online and realized it's no longer supported.

Is it a mobo issue? What can I do to fix it? Are there any LGA 1155s that are still supported? I based this build around my CPU because I got it for 40$ off craigslist in a combo deal.

EDIT1: Going to do some further testing. BRB

EDIT2: I tried starting the system with JUST the HDMI plugged in and everything runs smoothly. WTF

EDIT3: I would attempt to run my HDMI monitor with my 42" TV but I'm in the process of moving and the TV is at my other house so I don't have any other monitors to attempt a dual boot with.

EDIT4: Attempted to plug in the VGA to DVI adapter while the HDMI was plugged in and it kept doing the flash black screen to windows desktop. I had to unplug the VGA to DVI and it stayed black on the HDMI. Reset the computer and everything is fine again with just the HDMI.
