Back on Keto - need help with previous issues
Hi All
So I've done Keto before last year and dropped an amazing amount of weight. I then went on to a low carb diet and then TKD which helped with me working out.
I read the faq, got my electrolytes in check etc. and it was amazing.
The thing that made it hard for me to follow however is the sheer annoyance from weak stools cause presumably by both the magnesium citrate powder I take and the lack of fiber in my diet.
I started introducing Metamucil into my diet but for the entire time I was on Keto I had to run to the toilet every few hours...this was extremely frustrating and inconvenient,
Since then I've been told that I can ditch the magnesium citrate powder and that its simply not needed and in fact this is used for constipation issues in hospital. However this clashed with my knowledge of knowing that those on keto need Potassium, Magnesium and Sodium. Potassium and Sodium aren't issues, magnesium is.
I want to start Keto again, however I am not too fond of the stomach issues. Can I ditch the Magnesium citrate for now and see how I react to it, or is a mandatory supplement to use?
thanks in advance for your help
