Enjoy your Allroad even if it's old!

Someone had another post asking why Audi all roads are so cheap. They were referring to the early 2000 models. I own a 2001 and here's my story...

They're better than a brand new Q5! I've owned a 2001 for almost 6 years now and it has been such a great versatile automobile. Yes it costs money! I've had almost everything rebuild or replaced and made sure it was stock or better parts. They're cheap because people want something new rather than fixing a problem. Same way people are with everything these days. Transmission $5k, cam shaft plugs $2000, alternator $500, timing belt and water pump $1200 (original at 277k km!, ), brakes every couple years $500, radiator fans $700, air suspension compressor $500, I think that's it... The suspension had been replaced at 133km and it's still holding up pretty well. Right now it's at Audi having the cam shaft plugs replaced which takes 8-10 hours for a pro to do. A 3rd party shop said itd take them 3 days and they'd drop the motor! Go to the dealer!!! I didn't until now. They gave me a 2016 q5 for the time and I've put 400km on it on highway and off-road. Now let me just say... I want my Allroad back!!!!
