How desirable is Machinist in the raiding scene?

Good evening folks. I have recently picked up Machinist and am really finding it to be a lot of fun despite only being level 40. I would like to raid in Alexander in the near future and was wondering if the job was in demand at all. I know bards are in demand as a noticeable amount of them seemed to have shelved the job for a bit due to Heavensward changes. I'm aware of adjustments being made to the Machinist in 3.2 so I can only assume that they would serve to make the job better. Thanks for taking the time to answer and have a great evening!
