Recently diagnosed with ADHD. Took Adderall XR (20mg)+IR (10mg) & now Vyvanse (60mg) but still having potential side effects.
Diagnosed a month or month & 1/2 ago, was given Adderall as above. After about a week I started having shortness in breath, never had this before I started taking Adderall. Told my Dr & stayed off Adderall until I saw her (4 days total, hoping shortness of breath would dissapate), saw her, given Vyvanse as above instead, said lungs/heart sound good. 1st day I took was today (given on Fri), seemed fine but I still have shortness of breath. IDK if it's a mental thing, I tried this recommendation in the 1st post & I don't feel anxious nor was I ever diagnosed with Asthma. I also bought Mucinex to see if it being an expectorant would help (I think it kinda does?). I did leave a message on her asst machine asking if I could be given an inhaler though, IDK if she will or how beneficial it would be. Can anyone recommend some next steps? This is all very new to me & the shortness of breath is annoying as hell & making it hard to sleep without sleep-aids. Please, I really need some guidance and advice.
TL;DR: Recent ADHD diagnosis, shortness of breath after a week of Adderall but stopped & still have the issue on new medication yet lungs/heart are good per the Dr. Need suggestions for next steps, already asked for inhaler to see if helps.
