What are the comp.sci assets required to work with cloud services?

Google search didn't reveal a purely comp.sci aspect on what's needed to work with cloud services. I was wondering if anyone here could give me an answer, be it general or specific.

Are there certain languages, frameworks, or computing methods that offer more in said context? What are they? Currently for me, I seem to be stumbling around learning random bits without organization or an objective. I'd like to work with cloud services, but don't know how to get there.
