A fascinating talk by an AI professor on the importance of autonomous, objective-free, and divergent thought in creating greatness and innovation
My best friend sent me this talk and I was almost immediately turned off: the title seemed clickbait-y, the speaker was dry, and I saw that the video was 40 minutes long.
But he insisted that I push through that and give the talk a chance. So I did. And guess what, r/INTP? You should do the same.
The talk really speaks to the strengths of the typical INTP that are often considered unfavourable in society:
- exploration for the sake of it (vs being purpose/objective driven)
- child-like wonder with ideas (vs getting shit done)
- autonomous thought (vs collaboration and consensus)
The speaker explains why these qualities are critical for innovation and greatness.
I won't spoil it any further.
Here's the talk, enjoy:

(By the way, I recommend watching it at 1.5x speed and ignoring the unnecessary shit questions interruptions from the audience.)
