Just beat Uncharted 1 and hated it, should I keep playing? Not trying to bash the game, just worried about wasting my time.

I thought the linear aspect of it was awful, the gunplay repetitive and the bad guys to be absurd. Does it get better/different? Really dissapointed in the puzzles, too. Bummed I may not get my money's worth, but I don't have all the time in the world to game and i'm not sure if I should continue or play another game.
