Xfer Cthulhu Chord Progression Question
Right now I am learning chord progressions and am using Cthulhu to arpeggiate them. Currently I am using a free plugin called tonespace to feed Cthulhu MIDI chords. Tonespace allows me to choose my scale (like Cthulhu), and then use the basic chords in the scale (i, ii, III, etc). Using tonespace, I can easily play around with basic chord progressions this way, but still use Cthulhu as a really cool arpeggiator.
My question is if it is possible to use Cthulhu for the basic chords in this simple way and not have to connect tonespace on top of it?
When I use Cthulhu on it's own it comes up with some really interesting sounding chord variations, but they are all over the place (at least to my noob brain). For instance one (input) key will trigger a two note chord and the next will trigger a 4 note chord and I feel immediately lost and that I don't have much control over the chords like I do with tonespace.
I thought the "sorting" options mentioned in the manual might have the answer, but I didn't find an option that would "dumb it down" to the basic triads or sevenths, or limit it to some more basic chords that a beginner could relate to.
PS: Apologies if my question doesn't make sense, which is possible because I am just learning this stuff.
