Pain in my upper right back when I tilt my head down and to the right?

So I've been having this issue for a few weeks now. I only first noticed it when I was trying to go to sleep one night. Just a dull pain in my upper right back, behind my right shoulder blade. I work out alot and do crossfit several times a week, but I hadn't even worked out that day. So it just kind of started up randomly. It's more of a positional thing that only hurts if I provoke it, the worst of which being tilting my head down and to the right. It just turns into a sharp pain under my shoulder blade, almost in my ribs. It got to the point where it couldn't work out. My coach thought it might be a displaced rib and did some spine manipulation to reset it. That seemed to fix it for about a week, bit now it's creeping back up on me again. I still have full range of motion, thers just ceritan movements with my head or torso that will set off. Or rolling my right side out on a roller. I'm probably going to see a ciaropractor if it doesn't let up. But any ideas as to what it could be?
