Anesthesia

So, I'm having an excisional inguinal lymphnode biopsy tomorrow morning (well today now). I'm so nervous, I've only ever had my wisdom teeth cut out. For those who have been put under, were you coherent immediately after you woke up? Or were you freaking out? My fam will be taking care of me, but scared how I'll react afterwards. What if I don't recognize them? If that occurs, how long will that last? Because I want to inform others I'm ok afterwards, but am not sure how long it'll be for me to talk to them after. Even if I'm ok, I know they are worried/concerned. And what are the chances I'll die for a minor surgery, such as this? Any input would be greatly appreciated right now.
