Suggested changes to heroes and HvV mode plus general ideas.
HvV Changes -

'Last man standing score bonus' - It can take a fair bit of skill to be the last hero alive on your team and either A)avoid being killed by the whole enemy team or B) kiting and hiding like crazy to force a round draw in the case of a no win situation. This skill and effort should be rewarded with a score bonus, even meager. The bonus should work with a multiplier, adding bonus score for each additional enemy hero alive at the end of the round. 1v1 - 200 pts, 2v1, 400 pts, 3v1, 600 pts etc.
-
Fix the hero shuffling code. Naturally, everybody has heroes that compliment their play style better and heroes that they prefer to play as, but that's not the name of the game. Variety is important, and it's important that everyone gets a turns with every hero, too. Playing as boba fett in every single round in a game with multiple round draws gets old really quick.
-
Draw redundancy loop cancel feature - This feature would only be necessary in the rarest of situations. For example, a tied 4-4 game where the teams are extremely well matched. The final decider match draws 3 times, and no clear winner can emerge. The fourth consecutive draw on the game deciding match will cancel to a sudden death match, with all remaining heroes reduced to 1hp.

Palpatine - Palpatine the healer. Lol. His ability to heal friendly heroes obviously stems from his nurturing personality. He was always very caring towards his fellow sith, eager to lend a hand...blahblah. Long story short, I feel that the ability to heal was shoehorned onto palps because healing was seen as a necessary mechanic to the HvV mode. It doesn't suit his character. How do we feel about this being altered to be a better reflection of Palpatine's character by decreasing the healing potency of his token by 50% and turning that into bonus attack damage for a short period of time (10-15 seconds)? Thoughts on removing the healing mechanic from palps altogether and just making his token a 25% damage buff for 20-30 seconds??

Palpatine - While Palps' spiralling dive ability is primarily used for enhanced mobility, climbing, escaping etc, let's compare it to Han Solo's charge. Han Solo is a human male with no force powers who runs across the ground at speed, causing great damage to anyone in his path. Why should this charge ability cause damage when Palpatine's spiral dive does naught? He's launching himself into the air with the power of the force - it should damage whoever he comes into contact with.
-
Increase palpatine's lightning attack meter.
-
Increase Darth Vader's block stamina.
-
Make force choke register as an insta kill on infantry to prevent kill stealing.
-
Leia - passive buff added to shield. All friendlies inside shield gain 1HP per second spent inside. This will discourage YOLO Luke nubs and YOLO SOLOs from YOLOing across the map by themselves getting killed and ruining the game. It would encourage strategic, positional team play as Leia becomes the center of the team, and rebel players will benefit from fighting by her side and protecting her (as they should be doing, anyway). It also frustrates me that imperial can just bumrush your shield with vader and palps and then steal it away from you. While this is a valid tactic and the shield should still function normally when occupied by imperial players, adding a passive bonus to the shield that is ONLY received by the rebels makes bumrushing a riskier move and forces more calculation on the part of the imperials. Leia is constantly screaming HELP EACH OTHER, WE GOTTA WORK TOGETHER* while everyone else YOLOs off in different directions. Let's listen to her for once.
-
YOLO SOLO - shoulder YOLO charge - nearby rebel soldiers and heroes are inspired by Han's bravery and temporarily take less damage. I like the idea of these buff mechanics because they encourage players to actually SUPPORT their heroes. They would also espouse cohesion between the hero players and make it more of a team-game.

Boba Fetta Cheese - flamethrower hit box range increased. Duration increased. Damage increased (slightly) Flames are now STICKY, meaning that characters hit by flames are set alight and will spread flames to others they touch, dealing 10 damage per second for 3 seconds. Classic HvV metagame as it stands has Luke hunting boba fett almost every round. Luke may now think twice if he doesnt want to get roasted.
What do yall think?
*Does anyone find some of the hero dialogue very jarring in this game? Luke for example comes across as some sort of a sociopath as he yells DONT MAKE ME DO THIS repeatedly while running around like a headless chicken and showing 0 hesitation in cutting bitches to ribbons with his lightsaber.
