Any of you taken a break from anime?

I started watching anime regularly a little over a year and I made a MAL to see exactly how much I watched and the total came out to almost 30 days. So I basically spent a twelfth of the year watching anime. So I'm thinking about taking a long break from it to focus on school and other things. Any similar experiences?
