New Alpha release ready for testing

To comply with Reddits new API terms of use a couple of changes needed to be made to Relay. First of all Snoo is no longer allowed in the logo. Secondly, login must take place using OAuth2. This release primarily addresses these issues.

Here's the new logo i'm currently happy with. Feedback and alternate suggestions are most welcome.

OAuth2 required everyone to be logged out. Logging in will now redirect you to the reddit website to log in and give Relay permission to access reddit using your account. Relay then receives a token from reddit to use when accessing the api on your behalf. It's much the same as before but reddit now keeps track of these tokens so if your phone is stolen you can go into your preferences on reddit and revoke access for Relay to keep your account secure.

Other notable improvements for this release are:

  • refreshing subreddits now keeps any custom ordering intact.
  • message notifications will now only happen once. If you swipe it away it will not re-notify you ~15mins later
  • you can now add domains as a subreddit eg. domain/androidpolice.com or domain/blog.danlew.net/. This is very useful for keeping track of where any personal blog posts have been submitted to reddit.

This is an Alpha as i've made many backend changes to do with account handling in preparation for better subreddit discovery and handling that i'll implement later on. It seems very stable to me but i wanted to get a bit more feedback before pushing it to the Beta channel where a lot of users don't even know that they're on a Beta.

Here's the opt-in for the free version.

Here's the opt-in for the pro version.

Cheers
