So when I watercolor over fountainpen drawings the paint goes grey as the ink bleeds into it. How do I fix that?

The title. For example on this the nose was done with the same paint as the cheek, and the skin in this was a burnt siena.

Any idea how to fix that? I am using a pilot metropolitan pen.
