Student in the US, what should I do with my 1.3k?

Hey there, i'm a 19 year old student in community college at the moment and have saved up 1.3k working a part time job this last year. I have no expenses and tuition is covered for the next year until I transfer to a UC where I will be taking our loans. I need some advice on whether or not it would be a good idea to take out a Roth IRA right now. Or if you have a better idea in mind , i'd really appreciate the input.
