[Ask] Jump from TH7 to TH9

As a new/NonComp player is there any real harm in jumping from TH7 to TH9? I'm mostly maxed out on TH7. It seems like i get more out of TH9 with hero's resource production ect or will being under prepared hurt my attack econ.
