How do you react when something is stolen from you?

This past weekend I walked out to my car to find the passenger door ajar. When I looked inside I found one of my jackets in the hinge of the door keeping it open. This is strange because I either keep my jackets in the trunk or in the back seat. I think that my boyfriend had forgotten to lock the car door the night before.

Thankfully all that was taken was an old jacket that no longer fits and a pair of sunglasses but I cannot shake this uneasy feeling. I keep noticing little things like a mirror being changed slightly and my steering wheel was moved down all the way. I have been trying to act cool and not sweat it because something major was taken but I keep crying whenever I think about it.

I suppose the reason why I am posting this is because I want to know how other people have reacted in a similar situation.
