So I got turned into fine gray dust yesterday [5e]

Zombie Beholder. Randomly attacked me, got the beam above Disintegration Ray. I fail the save. Down to 8 hp. Spend my turn Healing, cool, I've got 17 hp now.

Randomly attacks me, again. DM rolled openly, it really was just bad luck. I fail the save.

Character I've played for 4-5 months, dead and gone.

Rolled new, and shit, stats and came in before the bossfight. A Paladin riding a Giant Hyena, uses a bow instead of Melee, can still Smite. DMs very nice.

Hopefully I can take this very spur of the moment idea and make something interesting with it.
