Verizon Geary Scammer

Just a heads up. After her phone died today, my wife upgraded at "Verizon" on Geary. The guy double charged her for stuff and put down some $199.00 prepay plan as "misc accessories". Fortunately, we caught it this evening and called Verizon, who are looking into it. What worries us is the fiddling about with SIM cards he did, the fact he had access to one of my wife's credit cards and also has all her personal information. Now we have to deal with the fall out. She now tells me that she didn't see him unseal a box. So who knows what he did to the phone before she received it.

Verizon said on the phone to only go to "corporate" stores. How the hell is anyone meant to know what is and is not a "real" Verizon store, when it has all the livery? What a bloody mess. Please, learn from our mistake.

Next step advice welcome.

Update Edit: Thanks for your comments everyone. I don't know which person was dealing with my wife directly I'm afraid. Verizon are taking this very seriously and are escalating the issue. When they contacted the store, there was something up with the way the "manager" handled the call. If I can post updates I will, but I don't want to do any harm to an honest business, should this turn out to be something innocent. The yelp reviews for this store are pretty polarized but who trusts Yelp? Not me! Have a look yourself.

In conclusion it really does look like straight up theft at this point. If we can make this a criminal matter, we absolutely will.
