how do we fully use our brain's potential?
It seems as if daily, most of us seem to rely on "second nature" ways of how we operate. We sleep, we wake up, we eat breakfast, brush our teeth, shower, and go to work. It's pretty much "eat, shit, sleep".
Popping nootropics just doesn't let your brain "think for you", I think we can do better by actually manipulating or "using" it to its full potential. I hope this isn't getting too deep. Before nootropics existed, I'm sure those pioneers relied on actually using their brains. Maybe psychedelic/plants were also influential and or recreational drugs. Even Ancient Egyptians were known to use psychoactive plants (from what I've read). I think those types of substances "open" your mind (or brain). Once it's "opened" it can be used (as to say one is no longer "closed minded").
I think it's true that the brain affects the body because last night I had a dream that I was having a heart attack and it woke me up with a slight pain in my chest. In other words, if the mind can think it (in my case, a dream I was having a heart attack), it may become reality, just an example. It's all in the head is what I'm trying to say, all my anxieties were created in my head which then affects me physically, therefore, people can see by way of my gesture that I am an anxious person. There had to be a way to manipulate or use our brains. I probably haven't figured it out fully since we're mostly instinctual or habitually "second nature" from the day we were born. I'm trying to change this.
