[HELP] Video driver issues. AMD R9-390 doesn't function correctly with open source drivers.

Any other souls brave enough to try and run linux on an AMD card? So, my problem is I just got a new video card, and I can't get it functioning in linux. I don't care what drivers I am using as long as I can browse the web and run VIM on 3 monitors at 1080P, but that is so far impossible with my card. Only two monitors even display anything, and they are mirrored (HDMI and one DL-DVID) and only 1024x768. Every attempt to install specific drivers ends in a black screen that is only fixed by booting in low res mode. I am using Fedora 23 Cinnamon Spin (but I have also tried Fedora KDE and have had the same results). I tried Fedora Gnome, but I couldn't even get GDM up, and that was before trying to install specific drivers.

Hardware:

ProcAMD8350.
MoBoSabertooth 990FX
GPUPowerColor PCS+ AMD R9-390

Has anyone else had this much trouble with the R9-390 using the open source drivers? If so, could you share how you addressed this problem? I was really excited that AMDGPU was supposed to be linux friendly, and was really looking forward to running the new card for gaming in Windows, but if I can't use it for basic work in Linux then it is useless to me (I don't want to swap video cards just to boot to the other OS). Thanks all.

P.S. I recall something about Flair for help posts here, but can't seem to find the button. If I am in violation of a rule, let me know and I'll fix is ASAP.

P.P.S. Title should say "With preinstalled default ATI drivers." I have not successfully compiled the proprietary drivers, but didn't think I should need to just to run 3 monitors with a web browser on each and a couple terminals.
