Who *exactly* are the rebels the SDF has been fighting all this time in Aleppo?
There's multiple narratives at play right now. It seems like prior to the Wrath of Khabour campaign, Jaysh al-Thuwar spearheaded the advance. There were some Tweets by Jenan Moussa quoting a JaT spokesman who claimed that they were fighting Ahrar and Nusra, which were attacked by pro-FSA accounts claiming there weren't any Nusra left in Aleppo. There were also many angry pro-rebels supporters who have used the current campaign to accuse the JaT of being a YPG puppet, the SDF of being allied to the Russians, the YPG being a unit of the NDF, and other acronyminous allegations.
So who did the SDF fight? I think it's rather unlikely that all of them were jihadis, though I would expect there probably were plenty of Ahrar in Aleppo.
