[EVENT]Japan authorizes JASDF to shoot down unauthorized military aircraft

Any unauthorized foreign military aircraft operating over Japanese airspace, will be shot down. Aircraft from friendly nations, including the United States and Taiwan, will be given lenience but are advised to inform Japanese authorities of flights near Japanese airspace. The ROK is advised to inform us of military flights near Japan to avoid any incidents. We will no longer tolerate constant Russian and Chinese intrusions on our airspace, and strongly advise them to end such flights. This policy will come into effect January 1st, 2026.

Edit: The airspace is over our sovereign territory and surrounding areas, not covering that of other nations. It is already recognized as Japanese controlled airspace, the only change that has been made is that we are now able and willing to use force against unauthorized military flights if deemed necessary to national security. No additional claims over previously unclaimed airspace has been made.
