Someball Chat limit
I assume the chat limit for someballs is to limit spam. But that makes no sense.
-
Plenty of people want to communicate with their team without signing up. In this age, adding an email is equivalent to committing.
-
There's no warning with regards to submission limitations. What if a someball is genuinely learning, and runs out of submissions in the middle of a crucial play? That's an unnecessary flaw.
-
Spam is easily traceable. There are scripts that can detect spam, not to mention the accessibility of the report button. Spam is not a reason.
-
Plenty of smurfs use someball accounts when otherwise occupied. I myself sometimes play a smurf when into a few beers. That places me at the ability level of a someball (hence my designation as such). Yet I find myself unable to communicate with my team.
All in all, limiting chat doesn't really make sense. We already have a mechanic for limiting spam. That's what the report button is for. If someballs are constantly submitting spam then fine. Let's institute something else. A system for removing ones degree, flair, ranking, whatever. Allow us to play anonymously, with an account. If not, eliminate the chat limit.
