[Spoilers][Theory] Why Kylo Ren's age won't matter when it comes to Rey

Reinder: [SPOILERS]

I get that, according to current sources, Kylo Ren is about 30 and Rey is about 19. But we have to think meta for a moment here -- what other glaring plot holes has J.J. Abram ignored?

In Star Wars: Into Darkness he didn't care about the altered timeline and how that would make many of the events of the original trilogy moot. He didn't care how everyone guessed that Khan would be in the 2nd movie and how lame that made it.

In Lost JJ didn't think through how it made any sense that Desmond could go into the afterlife and back (according to how he ended the series).

JJ doesn't care about logic if it means a surprisingly good story. Also, JJ loves to copy things that worked (see "Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan" and "Star Trek: Into Darkness") so I know the idea of mirroring the "Luke I am your Father" thing with Rey while having his own spin on it (Spock being the one seeing Kirk die instead of the opposite) will be too much for him.

It fits with his "The Mystery Box" theory, and I'm sure that he could come up with some excuse as to why it would make sense (ex. JJ could say "I said ROUGHLY 30 years after, not as a hard number. Kylo is 36, Rey is 19 -- he had her at 17. 36 is still roughly 30"), as he did wrap up the vast majority of the crazy nonsense of Lost (however disappointing it was).

When it comes to the film it will HEAVILY depend on how he handles all the stuff from Episode 7 in Episode 8 though, as the current cannon between them could go either way.

Why was Kylo Ren so pissed about "a girl" escaping with "Finn"? Why wouldn't he have told his troops "hey, keep an eye on this girl from afar -- she's important to me for... reasons" unless that reason was "she's my kid/related to me" and he couldn't endanger her being found out by his "There can be no others" master? ("With the Sith always two, one master one apprentice").

We know that Kylo Ren hasn't had the courage to be as dark as he wanted to be, so it would make sense that he wouldn't be able to bring himself to kill his own child (Cough -- VADER -- cough).

It would also explain why he didn't torture her like he did Poe Dameron (again, with him not being as dark as he wanted to be) -- because she was his child.

These details could obviously go towards them just being closely related, but my money is on JJ not being able to resist the temptation to do his own spin of "Rey, I am your Father" in the same way he did his own spin of destroying the death star from Episode 4, did his own spin of the "Luke starts on a desert planet and has no idea he's special" from Episode 4, and did his own "watch your hero/teacher die" from Episode 4.

Considering how damn much JJ has mimiced Episode 4 beat-per-beat and simply updated it, I would be absolutely shocked if he didn't make Episode 8 a re-tread of Episode 5 -- especially after Maz Kanata's line (paraphrasing after the "lived as long as I have" "eyes" line) "... you start to see a pattern, history repeating itself." with her somewhere in there making a reference to how things repeat 3 times, referencing how Episode 7 is a retread of Episode 4 and how Episode 1 was a retread of Episode 4. Eluding to how Episode 8 will be like Episode 5 and Episode 2. Culminating with Episode 9 being like Episode 6 and 3 -- ala Rey and Kylo Ren having the Luke/Vader/Emperor scene but probably with an ending where Rey saved Kylo Ren instead of having Kylo Ren do what Vader did and save Luke.
