[Routine Help] Here's what I already do. What should I add or change?
Hey, r/skincareaddiction!
Here's my nightly routine. Please help. I LOVE skincare, and want to know what to add to my routine. I'd also love some advice on what to do in the mornings.
- Garnier Clean Nourishing Cleansing Oil - one to two pumps, then rinsed with water
- CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser or Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser - Usually the CeraVe, but the Boscia when I'm feeling indulgent (probably 2x a week.) - One small-ish pump, lathered, rinsed, then gently dried.
- Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel - Once a week I use this on my whole face. 2-3 more time a week I use it on my problem spots (chin, nose, and this weird bumpy line on my cheek.) Small pump for each area, rinse, pat dry.
- Masks! Lately Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Repairing Mask - I apply this in a thin layer over most of my face, then let it sit while I use the bathroom, floss, and brush my teeth. Then I rinse and pat dry. (Other masks discussed later.)
- Murad Essential C Toner - Is this where I should do toner? I spray it 2-3 times on my face, then use my fingers to spread it around. I know nothing about toner, so I'm confused about this step.
- Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel - I spread a thin layer of this over my entire face, focusing on my cheeks. Again, not sure what this really does, but it feels nice.
- Ole Henricksen Truth Serum - Tiny pump tapped into my forehead, focusing on my wrinkle.
- Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Correcting Eye Cream - patted around eyes with ring finger, and a little put on that forehead wrinkle.
- Been using samples of this, but probably going to buy the full size (so I'd love feedback. Is this one good; what's better?): First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream - Generous amount applied all over face.
- Laneige Water Sleeping Pack - Small amount applied just to cheeks, on top of the sleeping cream.
On my super lazy, sleepy nights I just do steps 1, 2, and 9. In the mornings I pretty much do nothing, except occasionally step 2.
Other products I use: I love masks. I use a lot of different Freeman masks. I have ~8 different ones. I also have Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Petal Peel, but I only use it once a month or so, since it can be a little harsh. I own other moisturizers (CeraVe, Cetaphil, Shiseido, Clinique, etc.) And other cleansers (Cetaphil, Clinique.) And a few random things, like Julep Restorative Facial Milk, Garnier dark spot treatment, etc. But I don't use those almost ever.
What products/steps should I add? Any products I should replace with something better? What should I do in the mornings?
My concerns: my skin is fairly sensitive, and my cheeks tend to get/stay red. I don't have acne, but I get rough bumps and clogged pores. I have normal to dry skin, with very little natural oil. Here's an album with pictures of my skin.
Thanks in advance!
