Question about Anna Anthropy's Rise of the Videogame Zinesters
I've been reading Anna Anthropy's Rise of the Videogame Zinesters and I guess I'm just really confused by it. I'm not quite sure what the book is trying to say? I've read the first couple chapters now and I'm still confused. What is the book trying to say? So far what I get is:
-
She wants more representation.
-
She wants more people making games.
-
She thinks the barrier of entry for making games is too high.
But at the same time she also says:
-
There are games with representation.
-
There are more people making games than ever.
-
The barrier to entry is almost non-existent.
So like, what is she saying? I feel that from paragraph to paragraph she reverses what she is saying. I'm asking here because I assume people here have read it and probably understand it pretty well. If someone can help me that'll be great.
