(No Spoilers) Where does a complete noob begin?

So I didn't bother checking archives, but I wanted to find out where to begin reading the series for someone who has never seen an episode of the show, to even picked up a novel. I really want to jump in, and want to know from y'all more experienced people what books to read, and in what order, from novellas to the actual asoiaf books.
