Afflock vs Melee Duel How to counter?

So every time I play vs a melee class I get stunned and interrupted the fuck out of, as well as chased the shit out of. How in the world am I supposed to get away from them with a fear that has cast time and all those leaps they've got? Need MAJOR ADVICE. Started as afflock in WoD. No prior knowledge of the game. This is my first character and I don't want to let him go. I want to be good, but I am stuck, I can't figure out how to do this. HELP!!!
