A couple basic questions.
Hey everyone! I'm new to owning a leopard gecko, although I've read up on them MANY times before. I've wanted one for a very long time, so I have done my share of research already, and I've read the sidebar as well. I just have a couple more personal questions about the care of my little friend. Just as a prerequisite, you should probably know that he is a juvenile leopard gecko. Probably only a month or so old. For starters, I know that I'm supposed to have multiple hides for him. One for each side of the tank (warm and cools sides) and one with good humidity for shedding and whatnot. I'm very curious as to what you all do as far as a high humidity hide, because I honestly don't know where to start. Secondly, I have specific night/day lightbulbs as well as a UV bulb for sunlight, but they don't seem to get me to the perfect temperatures. During the day, the warm side has been sitting around 86 degrees Fahrenheit and at night it seems to sit around 82. Any recommendations would be fantastic. And finally, how much should I REALLY be feeding him? I have him on a diet of baby crickets and "Leopard Gecko Food" by Zoo Med. (essentially just small flies and vitamins). If anyone could give me a couple pointers, is truly appreciate it. Thank you all in advance!
