Is nobody going to talk about the new Nuke color scheme?
I find the new Nuke grossly overdone. Not quite unplayable, but definitely an assault to the eyes. Nuke is, and always has been since it was introduced, a dark, industrial power plant / nuclear research facility.
Now it's a cheery white and blue eco-friendly facility with a smile. As a bonus, all the outside containers look like they're made of plastic. The whole interior to A is overdone (can't we just have a plain yellow railing and a *gasp* paved floor?) and distracting to the eye, and B is no better with its bubbling vats of stuff. Additionally, the top of the A reactors is just Valve's "fuck you" to polygon-challenged computers.
As a whole, the map looks plastic and fake, has a color scheme incongruent to the rest of Counter-Strike (except maybe de_zoo), and is, most importantly, distracting to the players, thus detracting from gameplay.
Please, Valve, cut down on the clutter. Yes, you wanted to show off your new entity count, but we humans have limits too.
Opinions?
EDIT: Gameplay is good though. Not a fan of the vent or heaven nerfs, however.
