[Question] OTA from KitKat while rooted

Like the title says, I've been on 24a forever which was rooted using ioroot years ago.

Figured I should update to whatever the latest OTA is (lollipop 5.x.x?). I understand I'll lose root, but can simply use the LG one click root from XDA to regain it.

Question:

Do I face any negative effects from using OTA in my phone's current state? I'd like to keep all my apps/settings as is.
