Subreddit Update / Seeking New Mods for /r/ThisIsNotASafeSpace

Hey guys,

First of all, I just want to apologize for the current state of this subreddit. I recently started a new business which has taken up just about every spare minute of my life, so I haven't been able to stay active on here. u/singingintheplane seems to have also temporarily fell off the map too due to personal reasons. In our absence, it appears that several users have been making a lot of posts that do not fall in line with the original intentions of this sub.

As stated in the rules, this is NOT intended to be a hate sub. Neo-Nazis or members of any other hate group are not welcome. While we support everybody's rights to their own opinions, there is a line between having open conversations about race which don't adhere to "PC standards", and being a blatant racist asshole.

The intention of this sub is to promote open discourse about the rise of PC activism on college campuses, the war on freedom of speech, and the wave of movements intended to force "equality" via further segregation and special treatment of certain demographic groups. I strongly believe true equality can be achieved through the elimination of any program, movement, or legislation which advocates for demographic-based double standards, the restriction of speech, and the creation of artificial racial tension.

This is not a place to spew out articles about why blacks & Jews are ruining America. Again, you're entitled to your own opinions about race, but this is not the sub to voice them.

Its awesome to see how passionate many of you are about maintaining this sub, so I want to make sure we get this fixed, and keep it that way.

So here is how this is will be handled:

1. I've banned most of the offenders and removed as many of the offending posts as I could see. If i missed any please report them.

2. I also plan to set up auto-moderator to block sites such as Dailystormer that promote hate speech, and don't contribute generally reliable & unbias reporting on the discussion at hand.

3)Although I hope to be able to spend more time on here as things with work settle down, I'd like to appoint several new moderators who will be able to actively police this sub & ensure it. If you are interested, shoot me a message.

My main concern is ensuring quality, open discussion about the topic at hand, and not letting this turn into another Reddit circle jerk about all things SJW. Twitter & tumblr slactivists reposting quotes from Jezebel are not the problem here - this is a real issue involving very real groups & institutions.

If you have any other thoughts or suggestions to improve this sub, please let us know in this thread.
