Can I bring a six pack of Smirnoff Ice from USA into Canada without disclosing it to border patrol?

Going from Vermont to Canada in a few weeks with a couple of friends (two guys, one girl). We have a long tradition of ice-ing each other. I want to bring a six pack with me and strike when they're least expecting it. If I put the six bottles (which are within the personal exemption) at the bottom of my bag, do I still need to disclose their existence to border agent if asked? Or because they are within the exemption am I good to go?
