A book about marvelous powers I read a long time ago.

I remember reading a library book but i don't remember too of the details much but here goes. First off, I think the title had marvel or marvelous in the title and the author may have had clay in their name. The outside of the book was a sort of brownish red I think. At one point in the book the guy woke up from a long sleep and was healthier because in the sleep his body was clensed. The guy somehow got powers related to some blue medallion and at the end he had mastered the powers and was able to make things sorta like green lantern I think. I know there was a sort of car thing he was able to make. I think it may have ended with the guy holding the medallion in his hand and punching some big bad guy in a certain pattern. I also remember there being an epilogue for sure.
