Punisher Series Idea

I posted this to r/comicbooks and thought I could share here as well.

I don't plan for this to be a big deal or anything but I figured I could get input from you guys and perhaps get some questions answered involving Punishers morals. I really just want to get this idea out of my head and into words.

The basic plot is this; A teenager who lives in the bible belt is deeply immersed in computers and the internet. He is your normal gamer kid from a short sided perspective, but he is deeply immersed in online forums, the darknet, torrenting, ect. He is not a top grade hacker or anything but he can get around. Anyways one of his biggest obsessions is the Punisher. He is completely enthralled with his no nonsense approach to taking the lives of criminals and those who he believes cause harm to others. He believes in him because of his own experiences with injustice. He gets bullied in school and is the frequent victim of cyber bullying. He wants to BE the Punisher, to feel the cold, raw drive Punisher has. But he knows he doesn't have the edge, he is missing something. After some debate within his mind, he concludes it all boils down to the Punisher having nothing to lose after his family was killed. So he takes the idea to heart and put simply kills his parents. He does this while also posting online about his "transformation" into his hero. Other posters start to catch on and pretty soon he has become somewhat of a guide or prophet, telling other kids they too can become like him if they kill their parents and start to kill people they see as "criminals". It becomes a big enough deal that a pattern starts to emerge and Frank in New York is having to deal with copy cats who are just kids. Frank and others don't know who or what is making this happen but its causing enough disorder to create national attention. Kids by the dozens are killing their parents and going on rampages.

I have other ideas to tie in such as the danger of national media swaying the true story in order to bring in ratings and cause political stir. Think of Fox News or CNN when they cover a mass shooting. Eventually the media is as much to blame as the kid himself. Particularly one very outspoken media giant who has been in support of Punishers methods and saying others should follow suit.

Anyways that's the short (long?) of it. My biggest question I have is would Frank Castle kill a kid if he was doing this? I really want to push Franks morals to the limits, to see what even Frank would consider going too far, if he ever thinks that at all
