Respect Frisk! [Undertale]
Despite everything, it's still you.
Frisk is a human child and the protagonist of the game Undertale. One day they fell through a hole, into a mysterious mountain. Their goal is to find their way home, defeat King Asgore, and pass through "The Barrier" that keeps monsters trapped inside the mountain.
###Determination and Saving
- The power to reshape the world...
- Purely by your own determination.
- The ability to play God!
- The ability to "SAVE."
Determination is an ability inherent to human souls, the thing that allows a human soul to persist after death. The being with the most determination in this universe has the ability to SAVE. "Saving" is the act of creating a chronological save-state. When Frisk feels particularly determined, they create one of these "SAVE states". When Frisk dies, they go back to the point wherein the SAVE state was made - the point where they felt determined.
In the final battle with Asriel, Frisk's DETERMINATION becomes so strong that they are capable of incredible feats of reality warping. Keep in mind that Asriel's attack and defense statistics are canonically infinite.
-
Survives an attack which was supposed to destroy the universe, even though it almost killed them.
-
Survives Asriel's final attack by breaking the limits of the actual game.
###SOUL
The SOUL is the culmination of a person's being. All humans possess a SOUL. All of the fights in the game pit Frisk's SOUL against another monster.
Flowey explains the basics of SOULs, sort of.
A SOUL gains more power depending on how easy it is for the person to hurt another person. The less regret they feel for hurting a person, the more powerful their SOUL is.
Feats
###Charisma
Frisk is incredibly persuasive, flirty, and charismatic. They are capable of sparing every monster in the game, including ones that are originally hellbent on killing them. Watch how they interact with these monsters:
-
Froggit was flattered by Frisk's compliment, even though he didn't understand it.
-
Tries to flirt with Napstablook, but he doesn't reciprocate.
-
Steals the hat-obsessed Ice Cap's hat, then convinces him to be happy with his identity.
-
Charms the Great Papyrus into going on a date, even though he is a skeleton with very high standards.
-
Defeats Papyrus in a "Date Fight" by being the better romancer. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.
-
Frisk convinces one of the Royal Guard members to confess his feelings.
###Chara
Chara is the first human to fall into the underground. Chara is the manifestation of the player in the videogame, and enacts its will through Frisk. Chara hates humanity and monsters, and in the evil or "genocide" route of the game, it exterminates every living thing.
-
After Frisk's attack misses, Chara kills sans.
###Frisk Feats
Frisk is capable of defeating all of these monsters, save for Asriel (who they never try to fight). In Genocide mode, they are capable of defeating Toriel, Papyrus, Mettaton NEO, Flowey, and ASGORE in one hit each.
Like many RPG characters, Frisk has a hyperactive metabolism. Eating food instantly heals their wounds.
Phone
In Hotland, Alphys updates your ancient phone with some more modern features. This includes texting, two "dimensional boxes" to store items in, and a keychain. But there are also more unusual features.
Physical
Other
Frisk's loadout is a dagger and a heart-shaped locket, which may be more powerful depending on whether Frisk is played as a pacifist or a murderer.
