Have you ever tried asked a random guy out - if so, how did it turn out?

Hi reddit users!

I am a girl that wants to ask a random guy in my college class who basically knows NOTHING about me out. I've talked to him before for only 5 minutes, but they were all school-related. Our semester is ending soon so I figured maybe I should try to take the plunge and ask him.

I don’t know if asking him out would just utterly confuse the hell out of him.

Any stories to share of your experience asking guys that you don’t really know out? How did you did it and how did he react?
