considering how many times people will accidentally keep their zuiuns on and lose artillery spotting after a tsu-class node, this is probably a hidden nerf :v

Even without tsu-class there's a good chance that they will lose artillery spotting before or at the boss node. I have had bombers on Junyou's smallest slot wiped clean on a 1-1 sparkling run before.

They're not going to do much with 3 planes in each slot but it's interesting though lol. It's an ongoing maintenance so you might need to restart your game or something if you don't see it.
I know how you guys feel about her but can someone who actually trained Zara to Zara Kai try putting a Zuiun on her? SHE CAN! WE DID IT!

A couple of size 3 slots with max ranked Zuiuns can get AS against a single base-form Wo-class or two base-form Nu-class. I know this from goofing off with I-401 kai at 2-3.

I was going to say that's big news...until I realized even Mogami can outfight this Italian.
Well... at least we can use her to get AS+ on E2 of this event for those that are still farming.

The only possible likely use for this that I can see is if you need that tiny push in Air Power to get AS or AS+. Even then if it's not the first node (or two), especially if there's Anti-Air enemy ships (Tsu class....), they're liable to be shot down and worthless before you even reach the node you need the push for.

You can also use it in PVP as a cheap way to get AS against none AS fleets

Not sure if its any helpfull at all imo, 3 (2 in Zara's case) planes are going to get shot down really fast even without any Tsu's so bye bye artilerry spotting. Some people say maybe you can use it in a 3-5 south fleet but then again a CAV in its place will do much better anyway.

On the bright side Zara is less potato now!! She can totes drop potatoes on abyssals in your 2-5 bm7 quest.

Excuse me? You mean you're not remodelling them for that 90mm and OTO guns, but for ability to equip Zuiuns?

Eh. I don't use BBs too often, already spent two blueprints on Bismarck as well. I don't have Roma yet either.

Just did some testing:
They CAN partake in air battle and provide Air Power
They CANNOT attack submarines even with Seaplane bombers equipped.
They still route like (Fast) Battleships and not like BBVs. (For example, They dead-end in 1-5)
Do they help bomb in pre-shelling too? And does all this apply to Zara?
Yes, they do bomb in air phase. Yes, everything is the same for Zara.
They have terribly small plane slots though so don't expect much from their bombing. As a matter of fact, don't expect much from their Air Power either. With full double chevron Zuiun 634 on Roma, I was only like 27-30 Air Power from her. Halve that if you use two and 1/4 if you only use one plane.
