Some questions on dab pens and looking for recommendations

I have a few questions first;

• Is vaping dabs more efficient than rigs?
• I've only ever tried the Evolve Yokan pen for dabbing (never tried rigs.) wondering if this pen is a good example of vaping shatter. I know for herb vapes, I tried the G Pro and was extremely disappointed. Bought a flowermate a while later and it was a vast vast improvement.
• Would it be better to buy the Evolve / sourceorb / divine / hercules full set? Or to buy the parts individually. Really don't want to be spending more than $80 or so on a pen, unless the quality is much better for a higher price.

My preference is long lasting and efficiency > battery > flavour
