Visiting Melbourne from Canada

Hello r/melbourne. A friend and I are travelling to Melbourne from Vancouver next week. Obviously done some research online of the main attractions of Melbourne but looking for some local advice. Any locals that can recommend some hidden beauties of the city? Renting a car so also open to places outside of the city.
