Corsair Unity Engine locks up when launching Chrome (K95 RGB)

Recently picked up a K95 RGB and have been fighting with the lighting freezing, which I've attributed to CUE locking up. Killing the CorsairHID.exe*32 process in task manager and re-launching CUE sets the keyboard lighting back to a working state. I think I've narrowed the cause down to whenever Chrome is launched for the first time. I've been able to repeat this numerous times this evening. I am not able to repeat this when launching Firefox, IE, Spotify, Steam, or any other program yet. If I kill and restart CUE while I have a Chrome window open, I am able to open new tabs and new Chrome windows in normal and incognito without the lighting freezing. If I close all those windows/tabs I just opened so I no longer have a Chrome window open, then launch Chrome again, the lighting freezes. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.

Just curious to see if anyone else that is having lighting issues similar to me is able to reproduce this as well, or if anyone has seen this before and knows of a fix.
