Sans Fight Fanfiction Teaser! (Genocide/No Mercy Spoilers)
Note: This is my first story released to the public. if you have any suggestions, please tell me!
As it's hair swayed from side to side, the figure approached me. Knife in hand, eyes gleaming with something I can't name. I knew I'd be looking into that expression for a long, long time.
"heya." I managed to keep a steady expression across my face, even if it was an ear-to-ear grin.
"you've been busy, huh?"
The demon put one foot in front of the other, taking a slight step forward. My breath stiffened.
"so, i've got a question for ya."
"do you think even the worst person can change...?"
"that everyone can be a good person, if they just try?"
Another step. Silent breathing.
"heh heh heh heh..."
Laughter might've helped another time. Now wasn't the time for that.
"well, here's a better question."
"do you wanna have a bad time?"
"'cause if you take another step forward..."
"you are REALLY not going to like what happens next."
Right foot. Left foot. The soulless thing left me no choice.
"welp."
"sorry, old lady."
"this is why i never make promises."
Everything around me warped from black to white. It, Chara, spun it's knife around with one hand, with the same bland expression covering it's face.
"it's a beautiful day outside."
"birds are singing, flowers are blooming..."
"on days like these, kids like you..."
My burning white eyes rolled into the back of my head.
"should be burning in hell."
I quickly drew out my left hand from my pocket and threw it downwards, changing Chara's stolen soul to blue and dragging her down. With my right hand, I thrust it upward, sending a wall of bones toward's Chara's feet.
It dodged it.
In an instant, my hand shot towards the left, with bones dashing from the right in a tunnel shape.
Could anything bring this soul down?
Gaster Blasters summoned throughout the judgement hall. My brother's own creation. They shot at the soul four at a time, in different patterns.
That was my strongest attack.
"anyway, as i was saying, it's a nice day out. why not relax and take a load off?"
As the soul made it's move, I realized how I might have the upper advantage. Chara was too predictable. Power over strategy.
The gleaming knife made a gigantic vertical slice in the exact position I just was. Luckly, I slid to the right in order to dodge it.
For once, I saw the expression change. Surprised. More hatred.
"what? you think i'm just going to stand there and take it?"
Bones blocked every path, up and down, and spiraled towards Chara in an instant. I don't know why I was trying, because it seems the monster already knew my entire profile -- low hp, low defense.
And it knew I couldn't dodge forever.
"our reports showed a massive anomaly in the timespace continuum. timelines jumping left and right, stopping and starting."
I thrust one of Papyrus' blue bones from his Blue Attack at it, followed by my own. I repeated this three times, forwards and back.
It was the soulless' turn. It took no time trying a horizontal swipe this time, but I already slid under it.
"until suddenly, everything ends."
A sea of bones formed under it, and platforms flew overhead. As the stolen soul hopped from the next to the next, I knew I had to do something.
I reached for my Determination.
Before Dr. Alphys evacuated, she gave me the key to her True Laboratory. There was a note from her explaining to only use one syringe when you really needed it. And only one.
I took eleven shots of the substance.
I injected one before the fight, to test it's capability. Now, sitting in a wormhole, I stabbed the rest into me.
Once I lept back into the judgement hall, I saw it was "her" turn. A diagonal slice to the left, thinking that's where I would slide to. But, determination allowed me to see the full picture.
And what it's next move was going to be.
The script in my back pocket written by my closest friends, and my two brothers, I crushed. It had all the attacks I needed to preform in order, and what I was supposed to say to intimidate her.
I was all on my own now.
My attacks became a lot more extreme. Gaster's pets flew around the room, eyeing the soul like a kid on dessert.
"look, kid, i don't want to use that thing anymore. it was just holding me back."
"from g o i n g a l l o u t ."
They fired. It crippled her body. I knew her once, too.
Sweat dripped from my forehead as she stepped into the hallway again.
"heya."
"you look fustrated about something."
"guess i'm pretty good at my job, huh?"
