Few of you on this board would survive on the East Coast or Midwest : /u/HiChans
Just reading that "Millenials, do you plan to move to the suburbs" thread and some of the 'hostile to the suburbs' responses in it, I am convinced that very few of the people that posted in that thread would survive for very long if they were forced to move from Seattle to a city like Orlando, Florida or Charlotte, North Carolina or Indianapolis, Indiana.
"Oh no, there aren't any Whole Foods or Trader Joe's! I have to actually buy groceries at Super Walmart or Giant Eagle."
"Oh God, my son was hit by a car because my son was staring at his cell phone with his earbuds in and just stepped into the middle of traffic and assumed that all the cars would stop and let him cross even though there were no stop signs at that intersection and the speed limit was 40 MPH."
"Oh dear, my wife was arrested by the cops because she and a bunch of other people tried to protest the police-related killing of a poor black youth, who was a convicted rapist, by blocking traffic at a major intersection, even though they didn't have a permit for their protest.
Even worse, everyone on social media and in the press are condemning my wife and her friends for blocking traffic, and congratulating the police for killing a convicted rapist, instead of lauding my wife and her friends and condemning the police for killing a convicted rapist. What is going on?"
"Oh no, there are only four Pho Thai restaurants in this awful town we've moved to. We have to eat at Bob Evans or Beef O' Brady's. My children are going to get obese because there aren't any hip, trendy, healthy restaurants around."
You guys would be in for a huge culture shock.
