and here is the text of the campaign's email (to be clear, this is not just a message to people in NY):

Bernie Sanders for President Sign up to travel from New York to put Bernie over the top!

Dear Steve,

In less than one week, voters in 11 states will have the chance to vote for Bernie on Super Tuesday.

The wind is at our back, and our chances of winning go way up if more people turn out to vote. This is where you come in.

In the final days before the Super Tuesday elections on March 1st, volunteers from New York will “Go the Distance For Bernie” by traveling to neighboring states to put boots on the ground where it matters most.

Can you travel to a nearby state to help Bernie win?

Don’t worry if you’ve never done anything like this before – we have a team ready to help you every step of the way. Once you sign up, an organizer will reach out to provide all the info you need.

SIGN UP TO GO THE DISTANCE FOR BERNIE

If you need a ride, we can help you find a carpool. If you’re driving and are willing to take some people with you, we can help recruit them. You can come help from Friday, February 26th, all the way through Tuesday, March 1st, or just volunteer for a single afternoon. And if you ever have any questions, our team will be on call to provide you with answers.

The last few days before the elections on on March 1st are critical to our political revolution. We have to contact as many supporters as possible to make sure they know their polling location, have a plan to get there, and are committing to showing up to vote for Bernie.

This work is not only effective, but it’s a lot of fun too. When you arrive, you'll meet other Bernie supporters and work with local volunteer leaders to help push Bernie over the top.
