Does anyone know if there is a way to draw backstitching in Excel that doesn't go corner-to-corner?

I can use the borders tool to draw backstitches that go from corner to corner, but what about ones that go from, say, top left corner of one square to the bottom right corner 3 squares away in the same row? Thanks!
