Help please

So I have it able to play sound and everything in game, it works awesome and is a hilarious program to use when playing with randoms or friends. However, I do have 1 problem. While I am in game I cant load other sounds, I try to by typing la and then choosing to load the track and it says loaded in console, but I go to play it and it wont load the other track it just loads whichever one i loaded in the SLAM interface and is inconvenient, I can deal with it if there isnt a fix, just wondering if I am doing something wrong or if its just like that.
